A locally owned small-boat operator, six guests at a time.
At Ocean Adventures Hawaii, we enjoy the ocean and the tropical weather on the islands with a passion, just as much as we love cruising her beautiful waters. Having the chance to show our guests around this vibrant paradise allows us to appreciate how amazing Hawaiʻi is on a daily basis. This passion drives us to be the best hosts for your Hawaiian ocean adventure.
We're a small operation on purpose. One boat — the Kona Star — one crew, and never more than six guests on a cruise. That one decision shapes everything else: no lines, no crowds at the rail, no megaphone narration. Just a captain who knows your name and a coastline we never get tired of showing off.
Whether you're new to Oʻahu, a repeat visitor, or kamaʻāina, you will most certainly be vibing aboard the Kona Star while you take in all the magic Hawaiʻi has to offer. Welcome aboard!
This 45′ vessel has been meticulously updated to offer an elevated experience and has a capacity for up to 6 guests for a more personalized experience. From the comfortable interior to the fully furnished 'cocktail deck,' this is a place of relaxation, enjoyment, and unlimited amounts of fun.

The living quarters of the Kona Star feature a fully furnished enclosed cabin with an on-board kitchen and private restrooms — specially outfitted to make your ocean adventure as fun and comfortable as possible. Enjoy views of Waikīkī and Diamond Head as you sunbathe on the Kona Star's roomy deck with comfortable lounge chairs and cushions.
Turtles, dolphins, and whales are wild animals — we never promise sightings, and we never chase or crowd them. We follow federal viewing rules, keep a respectful distance, and we're pretty good at being where the animals want to be.
Reef-safe sunscreen on board, biodegradable flowers on memorial cruises, gear cleaned after every use, and a crew that treats the south shore like the home it is.
Every cruise runs with a USCG-licensed captain, safety equipment aboard, and a strict weather policy: if we cancel for conditions, you get a full refund or a reschedule.
We sail from the Ala Wai Boat Harbor — in the heart of Waikīkī, between Waikīkī and Ala Moana, minutes from most Waikīkī hotels and directly behind the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Parking sits right next to the boat at $1 an hour, rideshare drops at the harbor, and check-in is 15 minutes before departure.
★★★★★“I did a lot of research before booking with Ocean Adventures Hawaii. The groups that they take out are small. There's no crowding and the trip feels very personalized.”
