Out on the water, the morning feels slower. Quieter. Almost private.
Cruise along the Honolulu coastline aboard Kona Star, taking in views of Waikīkī and Diamond Head while enjoying freshly brewed Kona coffee and a light breakfast.
The morning waters are often beautifully calm and clear, offering the chance to spot Hawaiʻian green sea turtles, tropical fish, and other marine life moving through the water below. Before they become crowded with boats & tourists.
There is no hurry to get anywhere.
No crowded tour boat.
Just the ocean, the coastline, good coffee, and the luxury of having nowhere else to be.

ENJOY Hawaiʻi BEFORE THE DAY BEGINS
There is something beautiful about seeing Waikīkī from the water before the day has fully arrived. Morning time on the ocean is enchanting. The waters are calm and crystal clear. Before the bay is filled with boats and activities of the day, it’s peaceful and serene. Glide past the iconic shoreline as the first light touches Diamond Head. Look back toward the city as the coastline slowly comes alive, while the water below remains peaceful and blue.
The Route:
From Magic Island, we head east towards Diamond Head. Cruising along the famous beaches and surf breaks of Waikīkī. Past Royal Hawaiʻian Palace, Fort DeRussy, Kapiolani Park, and the natatorium. Just past Turtle Canyon we coast and relax under Diamond Head Crater as the sunsets.
And keep your eyes on the water. Our captain most always cruises right over the famous Turtle Canyon so you can see
Hawaiʻian green sea turtles, tropical fish, and other marine life before it’s filled with boats and tourists.
Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed, but some mornings have a way of surprising you.

Kona Star welcomes just six guests on our shared cruises.
With multiple seating and lounging areas, There is room to find your favorite seat, stretch out, enjoy a conversation with your captain, take photographs, or simply watch the island pass by.
No crowded railings.
No loudspeaker competing with the ocean.
No rushing for a view.
Just a small group, a beautiful boat, and plenty of room to breathe.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Do I need three people to book?
Not at all.
We welcome solo travelers, couples, families, and small groups.
Because we intentionally keep our shared cruises intimate, each departure has a minimum booking value equivalent to three seats. You don’t need to find three guests to join you — simply reserve the seats you need and come enjoy the morning.
Can we reserve the entire boat?
Yes.
The entire boat can be reserved for your group of up to 12 guests, giving you a completely private experience on the water.
What’s included?
Every Morning Coffee Cruise includes freshly brewed Kona coffee, light pastries, fresh tropical fruit, juice, water, and soda.
Additional breakfast options, including bagel boards, lox and bagels, fruit and vegetable platters, and special requests, can be arranged.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Absolutely.
BYOB is welcome.
