Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise
TURTLE CANYON SNORKEL CRUISE
Slip away from the busy beaches of Waikīkī and discover a different world just offshore. Cruise aboard the spacious Kona Star for a unique, personal experience on your own time. Enjoy clear blue waters of Turtle Canyon, where Hawaiʻi green sea turtles gather over Hawaiʻi vibrant coral reef and colorful tropical fish gather beneath the surface. With just six guests per cruise and multiple seating areas, there are no crowded decks, no lines of snorkelers, and no feeling of being rushed from one activity to the next. Just a relaxed journey along the Waikīkī coastline, plenty of room to settle in, and time to enjoy one of Honolulu’s most beautiful places from both above and below the water. Small group. Personal experience. An entirely different way to see Turtle Canyon.
YOUR TURTLE CANYON EXPERIENCE
Turtle Canyon is one of Waikīkī’s most beloved snorkeling destinations—and for good reason.
This offshore reef is known as a gathering place for Hawaiʻi green sea turtles, tropical reef fish, and other marine life. But experiencing Turtle Canyon shouldn’t mean squeezing onto a crowded tour boat with dozens of other passengers.
Our cruises are intentionally different.
With a maximum of six guests, your experience aboard the Kona Star feels personal from the moment you step aboard. Stretch out, enjoy the coastline, chat with your captain and crew, and arrive at Turtle Canyon ready to explore at your own pace.
Once we’re settled near the reef, grab your snorkel gear or a floating chair and slip into the warm Pacific.
Below the surface, the bustle of Waikīkī disappears.
Watch tropical fish move through the reef, and look for honu gliding gracefully through the water as they come up for air. Keep an eye out for dolphins, stingrays, and Hawaiʻi monk seals. Enjoy being somewhere most visitors only see from shore.
SIX GUESTS. NEVER SIXTY.
Some snorkel tours are designed to move as many people as possible.
Ours isn’t.
We keep every regularly scheduled cruise to six guests or fewer, creating an
experience that feels more like spending the afternoon on the water with
friends than joining a traditional sightseeing tour.
With multiple seating areas, there is room to move around, room to relax.
Room to ask questions. And when it’s time to snorkel, you aren’t entering
the water alongside an entire boatload of people.
For couples, families and small groups looking for something a little more
personal, this may be one of Waikīkī’s best-kept secrets.
